Notice Regarding EHV-1 virus
To: All interested horsepersons
From: Tom DiPasquale, Minnesota Racing Commission Executive Director
The Executive Director, in consultation with the Chief Commission Veterinarian, has determined the EHV-1 virus no longer presents a serious and immediate threat to the health of horses at Canterbury Park. Therefore, the emergency rule that took effect on May 9, 2016 is no longer being enforced at Canterbury Park. However, please be advised that Canterbury Park has entrance requirements in place. Those may be viewed on the MRC website here. In addition, the remaining provisions of MRC rules pertaining to stabling, Minnesota Rules, Chapter 7876, remain in effect. You will be notified in writing and on the MRC website in the event the MRC finds it necessary to implement the emergency rule in the future.
